About Me

I am a theoretical physicist by training (University of Antwerp), who began my academic journey as a teaching and research assistant at KU Leuven, teaching quantum physics and contributing to foundational research. My passion for technology led me to transition into computer science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, marking the beginning of a diverse and dynamic career in IT.

As an entrepreneur, I co-founded C-CURE in 1998, a pioneering cyber security company that played a key role in the Belgian IT security landscape. In 2010, we successfully sold C-CURE to Telenet, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey.

A true bon vivant, I believe in combining innovation and hard work with an appreciation for the richness and pleasures of life. That’s why I founded the WyneLover Project, a non-profit initiative providing online tools to support wine lovers in their hobby.

Outside of work, I’m a proud father of three fine sons. I’ve also pursued my passion for music as a keyboardist, performing with various cover bands and the band Carrier 21. My hobbies include mathematics, physics, cyber security, music (keyboard and production), and wine—each reflecting my love of both analytical thinking and creative expression.
